This assertion was made by Chris Nehikhare in an Arise Television interview. Chris Nehikhare stated in the interview, “Philip Shaibu, our deputy governor, has been in politics his entire life. We are unable to find a single enterprise that he founded that is viable. He made what he owns through political patronage.”

“We want the best people in Edo State to come and run our state. That is all we are asking for. The Governor (Godwin Obaseki) has not told us what he wants. The Governor commended Philip Shaibu the same way he commends me for carrying out an assignment.
