Secondus expressed his reluctance to engage with Wike, refusing to stoop to his level. Instead, he emphasised the importance of responsible leadership, referencing the crucial role he and other Rivers leaders played in Wike’s political success in 2014 and 2015. Secondus’ comments suggest a deep-seated frustration with Wike’s behaviour, which he believes will ultimately lead to repercussions.

According to him, “I’m not ready to respond to such and start calling him because I’ll be bringing down myself to his level. It’s very unfortunate. He (Wike) has insulted those who made him, and he’ll pay for it. Whatever he sows, he’ll reap, and so we are not going to respond to him at that level and go below that level. We are responsible Rivers leaders, and he knows, if we are not useful, what happened in 2014 and 2015 when we all rally around him—Jonathan, Mrs. Jonathan, myself in particular, and all others.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
