This claim was made by Maeba during an interview on Arise TV. Recall that Tinubu had previously stepped in to mediate the political dispute between Fubara and Wike, leading to the opposing parties agreeing an eight-point peace settlement.
In Maeba’s words: “Supreme Court said Sim is the governor of Rivers and nobody can put him in handcuffs and ask him to read a resolution; that is unconstitutional. I have kept quiet all this time because I was waiting for the Supreme Court to affirm his election, now that the Supreme Court has affirmed his election, he is the person who is head of the executive, he is the person who knows how you can raise a resolution from somewhere and enforce it”.
