According to Governor Yusuf’s Chief Press Secretary, Sanusi Bature, these politicians are the driving force behind the legal action contesting the dismissal of Bayero by the Kano State Government. It should be mentioned that after the state Assembly decided to overturn the 2019 Kano Emirate statute, Governor Yusuf removed Aminu Bayero from office and installed Sanusi as the new Emir of Kano.

In an interview on Arise TV on Wednesday, Bature criticized Bayero’s efforts to reverse his dethronement, describing them as unnecessary. He pointed out that Sanusi did not retaliate when he was deposed in 2019. Bature explained, “We wanted him to vacate the palace because it’s used as a guest house and a graveyard, and we want it renovated quickly so that it can serve its purpose. When the governor reinstated the Emir, he gave 48 hours for all the other emirs to vacate their palaces.

“Ado Bayero, in his wisdom, decided to remove his family and belongings from the palace. When I visited, the place was empty when Sanusi entered.

“But some unpatriotic politicians from Kano and beyond encouraged him to return and fight back, which is unnecessary. These politicians are behind the court case. Like it or not, there is politics involved. Emir Aminu Ado Bayero was appointed after Sanusi’s dethronement, but why didn’t Sanusi fight back then?”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
