Former presidential communications advisor and PDP member Sani Umar has defended President Tinubu against claims that he bought his way to election victory. In a recent video that Arise TV uploaded on YouTube, Umar mentioned that there wasn’t enough naira on election day. Umar also discussed his opinions regarding Tinubu’s first year of government performance. He said Tinubu assumed office in the midst of a highly acrimonious political era marked by numerous ongoing legal disputes. He claimed that despite Tinubu’s pledge to form his cabinet and begin working right away, the nation’s political unrest may have contributed to the delay in this process. He claimed that it is difficult to make a definitive assessment of Tinubu’s success in his first year of office due to the numerous variables that need to be taken into account.
