Same-sex Union: Prof. Kila Reveal People should just mind their business & allow the Pope to do his thing

The Commonwealth Institute of Advanced and Professional Studies’ Director, Professor Anthony Kila, shared his thoughts on the issue surrounding Pope Francis’ purported announcement about same-sex unions. Professor Kila answered a question on Arise TV by saying that he was fascinated by the phenomena in which people seem to become more orthodox than the Pope, stressing that people should respect the Pope’s authority to make decisions for himself. He expressed the belief that there is a proverb that describes people who are “more catholic than the Pope,” emphasizing the paradox that many people nowadays adopt viewpoints that go beyond even the Pope’s own on some issues. In his comments, Professor Kila underscored the importance of allowing the Pope to conduct his affairs without undue interference. He suggested that individuals should refrain from adopting positions that surpass the Pope’s own, promoting a mindset of allowing the Pope the freedom to pursue his course of action. Professor Kila’s stance reflects a call for respect for the Pope’s authority and the acknowledgment of his prerogative to make decisions within the realm of the Catholic Church.

He said, “I’m so fascinated that there’s a saying about people who are more catholic than the Pope, all of a sudden a lot of people are more orthodox than the Pope himself. I think the Pope should be allowed to do his thing and people should just kind their business. I think the way the world is going, some of our firm beliefs are becoming archaic and if we are alive to deal with it, some people should just stay by the side and watch the evolution.
