Senator Shehu Sani, a former federal legislator, has reportedly claimed, according to Daily Post, that there was a plot to topple President Bola Tinubu’s administration behind the demonstrators flying the Russian flag in Kano, Zamfara, Kaduna, and some other northern states. Speaking on Channels Television on Tuesday, Senator Sani made the observation that there are factions in the North that seek to topple the current administration.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

He said in part:

“A day before the last protest, money was shared to the youths, and Russian flags were also shared.

“That shows that the whole intent of the protest is not simply about the policies and programs of the government.

“There was an attempt to create an atmosphere where there would be an overthrow of the government.

Several video clips from these states emerged online showing protesters in the ongoing nationwide protests flying the Russian flag and openly clamoring for military rule in Nigeria.

The situation has raised concerns among security agencies and many Nigerians.
