Rivers: Wike “I’m telling you, I was the One Who Sponsored 2014, 2015, 2019 Elections of Everybody”

The reasons why the members of the Rivers State House of Assembly are chasing Governor Siminalayi Fubara were revealed by Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers State and minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), during a media encounter. He said the honorable members are like his boys to the governor. Even though Wike sponsored Rivers’ election and purchased forms for the honorable members in 2014 and 2019, he maintained that he never thought of them as less than deserving. He asserted, “I’m telling you, I was the one in 2014/2015; I sponsored the election of everybody; in 2019, the same thing happened.”

“You saw the fight I had with the federal government; you don’t have any fights with the federal government, so what is the problem?”

“They cannot have a good relationship with just assembly members, and every time they say, Wike, Wike; okay, what is it with that Wike that’s making him hold this assembly? What is that? Tell me.”
