Prominent PDP senator Lee Maeba has spoken on the political unrest in Rivers State. Maeba said that former Governor Nyesom Wike’s political clout in Rivers had considerably diminished in a video uploaded to YouTube by Arise TV. According to him, Nyesom Wike won’t even control 20 percent of the political landscape in the state by 2027. He claimed to have been a key player in Wike’s ascent to prominence and to have escaped threats and harassment from a federal administration determined to stifle their aspirations.
