Rivers: Dan Nwanyanwu, We are ready, waiting for Fubara to do that, we will take him to court

The Zenith Labour Party’s National Chairman, Chief Dan Nwanyanwu, expressed his disapproval of the court’s decision over Governor Fubara’s 2024 budget in a video posted on Symfoni TV. Nwanyanwu argued that this would be an unconstitutional move, adding that political parties—at least 12 in the region—are ready to pursue legal action against Governor Fubara if he follows through with the decision.

 

As stated by Dan Nwanyanwu, “What the court, with greatest respect, is asking Governor Fubara to do is to take the 2024 appropriation to members, former members of the State Assembly, who are no longer there. That is what the court, with greatest respect, wants to do. And that will never happen. We, political parties, not less than 12 political parties, are ready, waiting for Fubara to do that.
