Rivers Crisis: In history of Nigeria we have not had this experience where the Governor is almost powerless -According to Agbola

Agbola made this statement in an interview with Channels TV while discussing the defection of 25 Rivers lawmakers from PDP to APC and the reappointment of 9 commissioners who had previously resigned amid the political crisis in Rivers between Fubara and his predecessor, former Governor Nyesom Wike. He also referenced the case of former Kaduna State Governor Balarabe Musa, who encountered challenges when his party was a minority in the State House of Assembly, ultimately leading to his impeachment

In Agbola’s words: “In history of Nigeria we have not had this experience where the Governor is almost powerless because he is not in control of the State Assembly and he is not even in control of his own executive council. We have had situations before where a governor is elected and his party is a minority in the State House of Assembly. It has happened before, remember the case of Balarabe Musa in Kaduna State?
