He welcomed the decision, acknowledging Oko-Jumbo’s continued leadership as Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly. Amaewhule indicated acceptance of the court’s ruling, and pledged that he and his members will continue to obey the rule of law.

According to him, “I thank the court of Appeal for what they’re doing for this country especially for their efforts in ensuring that the rule of law remains the order in this country.
