Nwogu specifically pointed out the contradictions in Fubara’s behavior and he also questioned Fubara’s move to unilaterally appoint a new Speaker and Majority Leader, saying, “He’s trying to make three persons to form Speaker and Majority Leader, where does that happen?”

Nwogu defended the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike stating that he is “facing his job and he’s doing a wonderful job in Abuja.” In contrast, Nwogu implied that Fubara’s actions are responsible for the political stalemate in Rivers State, saying, “Here in Rivers State, nothing is happening.”

What he said;

“You’ll not submit a budget to the State Assembly, you send them communication, the next day, you say they’re not assembly members. You deal with them in one aspect and you at the same time, condemn them. He’s the one fanning all these issues. The FCT Minister is facing his job and he’s doing a wonderful job in Abuja. Here in Rivers State, nothing is happening. The Governor suddenly trumps up the State Assembly members.
