River Crisis Update:As Ihunda Chased Out Of Office, Two People Have Been Killed In Omuma LGA

This is not unconnected with the crisis currently troubling the State as Local Government Chairmen who have served their tenure in the State have refused to step down from their offices.

In the same vain, Rivers crisis: LG association chairman chased from council secretariat.

As the crisis in Rivers State intensifies, a Local Government Chairmen at the Council Headquarters in Port Harcourt, Ihunda was today chased away from the Secretariat by some youths. The Sun Online gathered.

Allwell Ihunda, was chased by angry youths today along Moscow Road in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital. Ihunda who is the Chairman, Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, Rivers State Chapter, was on his way to the Council Headquarters when he was attacked in the company of his security details.

Ihunda, the departing Chairman of the Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, was on his way to the council headquarters with several aides and security personnel when the event happened. The Sun gathered.
