Renowned kidnapping kingpin who killed an orderly and kidnapped an Akwa Ibom judge is shot by police

The notorious sea pirate and kidnapping kingpin, Ubong Effiong Archibong, who was said to have kidnapped multiple people, including Justice Joy Unwana, a high court judge, and killed her orderly, has been neutralized by the Akwa Ibom State Police Command.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, the suspect was shot and killed during a shootout at his hideout in Cross River state.

The suspect’s specialty, according to command spokesperson ASP Timfon John, was kidnapping, killing, maiming, and wreaking havoc in society. This information was revealed in a statement on Thursday, August 29, 2024.

The statement said, “The CEO Emem and Sons Nig. Ltd. was brutally murdered, and his sales representative was abducted. The kingpin, Ubong Effiong Archibong (M) alias condiment, a gang leader of bling marine strike force terrorizing Uruan/Oron Water Ways, was responsible for the kidnapping of a High Court Judge Joy Unwana and the k!lling of her Police orderly Inspector ThankGod Edet.

In addition, the suspect was behind the abduction of pharmacist Joemel and Mr. Brown, the CEO of the Mingles Hotel. “In his hiding place in Uyanga Community, Cross River State, the suspect engaged in gunfire with Command operatives, ultimately leading to his neutralization.”

The suspect had one G3 rifle and four live rounds found on him. After being found, the suspect’s body was sent to the morgue. There are still investigations underway with the goal of apprehending additional gang members.”

The statement gave the people of Akwa Ibom confidence in the Police Command’s commitment to continuously ensuring that Akwa Ibom is a safe and secure region where companies may prosper.
