Following a protracted fight with prostate cancer, Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu was declared dead. This is when he made his statement.
Recall that Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the governor’s deputy, took over as the executive governor of Ondo State upon the passing of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
It would be recalled that after Governor Rotimi Akeredolu died, his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa was sworn in as the executive Governor of Ondo State.
However, Sowore has now stated that he does not have any intention of becoming the deputy of Gov Lucky Aiyedatiwa. He said he doesn’t have any ambition of such and he would never have.
He wrote on his page, “I am not being considered for a position of deputy governor of Ondo State. I do not have any ambition of such and never would”.
