Reactions Following Obi’s Remark: Tanzania Closes Five Hydroelectric Plants Owing to Overpowering

Tanzania shut down the five hydroelectric units because they already had enough electricity to power their major towns and provide access to electricity for those living in remote areas, according to a message published by Peter Obi on his official X Twitter on Friday.

The former governor of Anambra state wrote on his official page;

“Yesterday, I read a report in the Media on how Tanzania, our East African fellow nation, recently shut down five hydroelectric stations to reduce excess electricity in the national grid. Their decision to shut down these power stations stemmed from the fact that their electricity production was already enough to power their major cities and give electricity access to the rural dwellers”.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

  1. Was Peter Obi not a member of PDP that ruled Nigeria for 16yrs before the advent of APC ? What contribution did PO made to PDP administration before they were booted out? Or did he not realize that adequate supply of electricity is part of PDP’s responsibilities? That is the reason why Sowore’s observation that if Nigeria were to be a SANE society most presidential candidates in 2023 elections are not suppose to be on the ballot papers. Moreover, you cannot compare Tazania to Nigeria because most the politicians in Tazania are human beings while the ones in Nigeria can properly be likened to animals in a zoo country. QED 🙄🙄
