Economic hardship: All the things I said will happen to Nigeria have happened- According to Prof Pat UtomiProf. Pat Utomi, a Chieftain of the Labour Party (LP) and a past presidential candidate, has asked to know if any federally funded streets bear the name of Prof. Humphrey Nwosu, the man who presided over the electoral commission that handled the 1993 presidential election.

Speaking further, Professor Utomi made it known that as the chairman of the electoral commission, he (Prof Nwosu) confounded doubters with option A4, noting that some individuals who put themselves above others and the nation refused to accept the truth.

Professor Pat Utomi made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle, disclosing that he survived two assassination attempts.

In addition, he noted that each time he remembers or thinks about June 12, he remembers the man who was his teacher at UNN, in October 1973, Prof Humphrey Nwosu, who chaired the electoral commission and conducted the presidential election.

Some parts of his post read: “Where is the street named for him in Abuja and Lagos. As chairman he confounded doubters with option A4. But those who put self above others and the nation refused truth. And some of us said hiding behind personal privilege was not manhood.”
