President Tinubu suspends Halima Shehu four months after appointment, Daniel Bwala reacts

President Bola Tinubu has suspended Mrs. Halima Shehu, the National Coordinator and CEO of the National Social Investment Program Agency (NSIPA), as part of his administration’s efforts to overhaul the system. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu accepted Shehu and promptly ordered the nomination of her replacement, as Channels Television reported. That being said, no formal explanation has been given for the suspension.

Further details revealed that NSIPA, which is in charge of managing important initiatives like conditional cash transfer and N-Power, has come under fire recently, prompting questions about the efficacy and efficiency of the organization.

But in response to this, Mr. Daniel Bwala—a confirmed X handle user—said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had appointed her in October and removed her in January. Bwala is a member of the People’s Democratic Party, or PDP. Bwala went on to say that he is pleased with the president’s choice.

“He appointed her in October, based on the report,” he said. And I fired her in January (I’m not sure whether the information in the following link is accurate or not).
