The public has strongly denounced the attacks that resulted in the burning of many buildings and the deaths of approximately thirty individuals, and many have urged the government to make sure that those responsible are found and held accountable.

A survivor of the attack has opened up on how she narrowly escaped death, and how their neighbour who was seriously sick and could not run was burnt inside his house with other members of his family.

The survivor who did not disclose her identity said that they woke up that fateful morning and heard gunshots, and did not know where the gunshots were coming from. She said that when the gunshots became too much, they went back to see what was happening, but could not comprehend exactly what was happening, so they went back inside.

She said that they saw their Muslim neighbours moving towards the direction that the gunshots were coming from. She said that when they went outside again, they saw the Muslim neighbours coming towards them menacingly, and they were afraid because there were very few Christian families there.

She narrated how she and a few others ran for their lives, and that she later received information that her house was burnt, and her property looted.

According to the report by Vanguard, she said, “I heard that they parked bags of maize, rice, garri and all that I sell. They then went into the compound and burgled all the rooms. They injured some people and later set the house ablaze. A neighbour who was seriously sick and couldn’t move was burnt alongside his family members in his house.” CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
