Phyna has been outspoken in her criticism of the show’s sponsors, Quidax among others, for not fulfilling their prize pledges. Quidax promised to give her one Bitcoin (BTC) as part of her rewards, but two years after the show ended, it hasn’t arrived.

Following Phyna’s public complaints, representatives from Quidax met with her and proposed a compensation of N13 million, claiming it represented the value of 1 BTC in 2022 when the commitment was made. However, Phyna shared in a video message on her social media platform that she declined the N13 million offer and insisted on receiving the actual 1 BTC, valued at over N90 million currently.

Phyna also emphasized her expectation to receive tickets for a trip for two to the Maldives, another prize she was entitled to from the show’s organizers and sponsors. She clarified that she expects the promised trip to the Maldives specifically, rather than alternative destinations like Kenya or Morocco, which she could fund herself if she chose to visit.

Regarding Quidax’s N13 million proposal, Phyna pointed out discrepancies in the valuation of 1 BTC, highlighting that the actual value in November 2022 was higher than what Quidax claimed. She stressed the missed investment opportunities due to the delayed delivery of her BTC prize and questioned the fairness of receiving a lower cash offer compared to the potential value of the BTC over the past few years.
