Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, has bemoaned the declining level of security in Nigeria. Peter Obi, the flag-bearer of the Labour Party in the general elections of 2023, wrote on his official X (formerly known as Twitter) account that he was shocked to learn that farmers in Northern Nigeria now have to pay bandits as much as N100,000 for permission to farm, or else they risk being attacked. He did this while citing the various reports of terror attacks in recent times.
