Peter Gregory Obi, the Labour Party’s candidate for president in 2023 and a former governor of Anambra state, claimed he closed the first lady’s office because the office received more funding than other of his ministries. The former governor of Anambra state was speaking about why Nigeria needs to cut down the cost of governance when he made the comment. He accused the current administration of being reckless when it comes to spending.
Peter stated that;
“By the time you add N160 billion for the new jet, N21 billion for the new VP house, N15 billion for the library of the National Assembly, N15 billion for their clinic and all other furnishings, you will have over N250 billion. 95% of the politicians are the same.
