Former Director General Voice of Nigeria and APC chieftain Osita Okechukwu talked candidly about his forty-plus years of experience in Nigerian politics and his familiarity with notable politicians like Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar in an interview that aired on Arise TV. He contrasted this with Tinubu’s approach, citing an instance where Tinubu openly expressed his support for President Buhari during a crucial political juncture.

He said, “I have been in this business of Nigeria politics for the last 40 years. We know all the major actors, we were there when some of them joined us far back in 1988. His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was in custom when we took off, he later joined us about 1988 and joined the PF. We were in liberal convention and some were in what we called the PSP and ANC. We knew ourselves. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his supporters will never go into a merger unless he is going to be a presidential candidate.
