On the eve of the Premier League final, a fight for Europe Man Utd will not be participating; Chelsea and Spurs must maintain their perfection

The Premier League season is set to come to an exciting and captivating close, and there may be some surprises in store for those vying for conference league and Europa League spots. Fourth-place Aston Villa has joined the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool on the greatest stage in Europe, snatching up a Champions League spot. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

However, Tottenham, Chelsea, Newcastle and Manchester United are fighting for Europa League and Europa Conference League places, with just one game left to decide this.

The club who takes the fifth position on the table will play in the Europa League next season, with Tottenham currently occupying that position after picking 63 points from 37 games. The North London side were in the fight for a top four finish but after losing five of their last six games, the dream quickly faded away.

Chelsea currently occupy the 6th position on 60 points, and are at home to mid-table side Bournemouth. Mauricio Pochettino’s side start the day in a Conference League play-off round spot but can still secure a Europa League place after the game.

The Blues have a better goal difference than their London rivals Tottenham, while also going into the final day on the back of four straight wins.

Also, Chelsea can be on 6th position and qualify for the Europa League if Manchester City defeats Manchester United in the FA Cup final on 25 May.

For Manchester United, it’s more difficult. The Red Devils will need to beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final so as to qualify for Europa League.

When you look back to where chelsea were at the end of last season and the start of these season, to get back into Europe would be a step in the right direction for Mauricio Pochettino and his men.
