Olusola Oke: I drew my inspiration from Buhari who contested four times before he succeeded

Olusola Oke, a candidate for governor of Ondo State, has openly expressed his desire to lead and govern the Ondo people. He claimed to have extensive knowledge about the state, which he acquired during his many years of holding important posts in the administration of the state. Olusola Oke says he finds inspiration in former President Muhammadu Buhari and he isn’t giving up on his goal to become the governor of Ondo State, even though he has lost his last three attempts to obtain the position. When asked those the “Emi lo kan” statement shows any form of entitlement, he replied by saying it isn’t a sense of entitlement but a statement based on prevailing circumstances that shows among other aspirants I am the closest to the people.

Quoting some of his statements in an interview he had with Channels Television on Friday, he said: “I want to be Governor of Ondo State, I have tried three times and this is my fourth attempt at the end. I tried twice as a candidate, once as an aspirant and this is my fourth time, I think I am drawing inspiration from Former President Muhammadu Buhari who did it three times and didn’t succeed but succeeded at the fourth time so I am very hopeful that on this occasion it’s my time to shine”.
