Obioha Ogbonnaya: “Wigwe that died was the man who gave us the first N100m not knowing who Ikpeazu was”

During Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s first tenure, Obioha Ogbonnaya, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, revealed how Ikpeazu allegedly obtained his first substantial financial backing before to taking office. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

In a recent report by Then Sun, Ogbonnaya said during a conversation he told Ikpeazu that he was aware of how much money Ikpeazu had before his governorship campaign. He said he mentioned that the late Herbert Wigwe played a crucial role by donating the first one hundred million naira to Ikpeazu’s campaign and he made this generous contribution without even knowing who Ikpeazu was at the time.

Ogbonnaya also said before the 2023 gubernatorial election, he advised Ikpeazu that it was time for someone from Abia North to become governor. He said he warned that if the PDP chose a candidate from Abia South again, they risked losing the election
