Dalung discussed his intimate ties to several presidents, including Jonathan, Buhari, Yar’Adua, and Obasanjo (OBJ), in an interview with Arise TV. He claimed that when President Obasanjo was a university instructor, he gave his assistants orders to wake him up whenever Dalung called.
Dalung also said he was a big critic of President Jonathan’s government but was invited several times by Jonathan to provide solutions to challenges. He said under Buhari’s government which he served in, he passionately advocated for the right things to be done. He also expressed readiness to meet with President Tinubu if invited
In Dalung’s words: “Obasanjo while in office told his aides that anytime I call and he was sleeping they should wake him. I was just a lecturer at the University. I was very close to President Yar’Adua and I advised him privately. I was the worst critic of President Jonathan’s government but he invited me severally and I gave him solutions to some problems. I was part of Buhari’s government and I also did my best to make sure that I brought my opinion to bear on the president for things to be done right.
