In response, SERAP said that they view Senator Abdul Ningi as a whistleblower and made it plain that they would take the Senate to court if Ningi is ever suspended due to the accusations he made against the administration led by Bola Tinubu.
SERAP responded to reports that Senator Abdul Ningi had been suspended by making this revelation in a post on his official X Twitter on Tuesday afternoon. They continued by pleading with the Senate to forward the accusation to the relevant anti-corruption organizations.
SERAP wrote: “BREAKING: We consider Senator Abdul Ningi a whistleblower. We’ll see in court if he is ever suspended from the Senate over his allegation that ₦3.7 trillion was padded in the 2024 budget. The Senate should immediately refer the allegation to appropriate anticorruption agencies.”
Recall that it was reported earlier today that the Senate suspended Senator Abdul Ningi for three months over his claim that the 2024 Budget was padded to the tune of N3.7 trillion, by Bola Tinubu’s led government. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
