A list of at least 58 former governors who had embezzled, stolen, misappropriated, or laundered N2.187 trillion from their respective states during the previous 25 years—since Nigeria gained democracy—has been released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). However, one notable name that was missing from the list was Peter Obi, the Labour Party Presidential candidate and former governor of Anambra State. This was shared by the official account of the Peter Obi Grassroots Mobilization Movement.
