Nigerian army Responds to the killing of pregnant woman by an alleged repentant Boko-Haram soldier

Director of Army Public Relations Maj. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu said in a statement that the Nigerian Army has confirmed that a pregnant woman was slain by a Nigerian soldier. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Contrary to what several news outlets have claimed, the army Major General has stated that the suspect is not a Boko Haram member who has repented, according to reports from SAHARA reporters. Remember that in 2023, SAHARA REPORTERS claimed in an article that sources told its journalists the suspect is a terrorist from Boko Haram who has subsequently turned to Christianity and enlisted in the Nigerian Army.

Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, in response to the allegations, declared that the Nigerian army has never enlisted former or repentant rebels in the military. He said this in response to the charges. In spite of this, he mentioned that the Civilian Joint Task Force, which had a significant impact on the war against insurgency in the country, was taken into consideration.

Hear him, “The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to a publication by Sahara Reporters on 13 April 2024 titled, “Repented Boko Haram Member Enlisted into Nigerian Army slits Woman’s throat in Enugu Barracks, Hides Corpse.”

Much as it is highly regrettable that a young lady lost her life in the hands of a man with whom she was in an amorous relationship, the incident should not be latched on to insinuate laughable claims. It is pertinent therefore to clear the air on the allegation as insinuated by Sahara Reporters.
