Mother Reveals Whenever I Visited Mohbad’s House, Joseph Would Tell Omowunmi To Put Only One Meat In My Food

The late singer Mohbad’s mother, Abosede, discussed the issues surrounding her son’s passing and her relationship with both Mohbad’s wife, Omowunmi, and her ex-husband, Mr. Joseph Aloba, in an exclusive interview with Saturday Punch. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Abosede disclosed that she had been estranged from Mr. Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, for over a decade due to his abusive behavior towards her. She detailed Joseph’s attempts to exert control over her and their son, which ultimately led to a strained relationship. Abosede recounted instances where Joseph formed a close alliance with Mohbad’s wife, Omowunmi, granting her authority over their household affairs, such as dictating Abosede’s diet by instructing her to have only one piece of meat in her meals.

According to Abosede, the issues stemmed primarily from Joseph’s desire for control, rather than any direct conflict with Omowunmi. She emphasized that Omowunmi was merely following Joseph’s directives, placing Abosede and Mohbad under her authority. Abosede highlighted the close relationship between Joseph and Omowunmi, which hindered her ability to intervene in their dynamic.

The grieving mother said that Mohbad’s death could have been prevented if his father had not taken drastic measures, including allegedly burying him alive despite repeated warnings. Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, in Lagos State at the age of 27. However, despite police involvement and the exhumation of Mohbad’s body for an autopsy, the exact cause of his death remains unclear.

According to her, “Omowunmi (Mohbad’s wife) did not offend me, and I don’t have any problem with her. It was Joseph who gave her the effrontery and authority to treat me anyhow. He wanted to control me and Mohbad. He put all of us under her, and elevated her above all of us. Whatever command he gave to her was what she did to us. Omowunmi and Joseph were very close, and I could not even get between them. Whenever I visited Mohbad’s house, Joseph would tell Omowunmi to put only one meat in my food.” CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
