Money In Hands Of Workers Boost Economy But Money In Politicians' Hand Are Buried In Soak Away- According to NLC

According to the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Nigerian workers ought to get a higher minimum wage. This assertion was made in a post that was uploaded on Monday on the Nigeria Labour Congress’ official X account. It would be recalled that before NLC embarked on the strike, a meeting was held with some members of the National Assembly and the Federal Government. The meeting, however, did not yield a positive result.

NLC has now stated that workers deserve a living wage. The union said that more money in the hands of workers would boost the economy because it will go directly into the market but money in the hands of politicians are buried in the soak away pits.

The statement reads;
