Miyetti Allah Reveals Representative Of Nigerian Army & DSS Were Present When They Launched The Group

Punch said that Al-Hassan, the National Secretary of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, disclosed that the Nigerian Army and the Department of State Security Services (DSS) sent personnel to the Nomad Vigilante Group’s January 18 debut. Al-Hassan verified that Bello Bodejo, the National President, had been taken into custody by law enforcement. Al-Hassan explained the creation of the Nomad Vigilante Group, emphasizing its purpose for enhancing security. According to him, the Police, Army, and DSS were duly informed about the formation of the group, and a representative from both the Nigerian Army and the DSS was present during the launch event. Despite the arrest of the National President, Al-Hassan asserted that it was not linked to the formation of the vigilance group.

The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Secretary General acknowledged the presence of the DSS at their location, stating that the soldiers who arrested Bodejo were acquainted with him and suggested that the arrest might be related to seeking clarifications. He assured that once he obtains more details, he would provide further information. However, he reiterated that the arrest was not connected to the establishment of the Miyetti Allah vigilance group.

Providing insight into the group’s intentions, Al-Hassan emphasized that the Nomad Vigilante Group was created with a primary focus on security. The group’s launch was conducted in Nassarawa, and they had informed not only the security agencies but also the Commissioner of Police about their initiative.
