According to him, Obi wouldn’t be able to beat Tinubu in an election even if he teamed up with the PDP and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), so long as Tinubu showed strong leadership and governance. Although Peter Obi’s prospects of winning the presidency could increase if he joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), he contended that this would not ensure his triumph.
He emphasized that becoming the president of Nigeria requires more than just increased opportunities, as various complex factors come into play.
He said, “Obi joining the PDP only enhances his chance. Becoming the Nigeria president is more than chance enhancement. It is much more than that. There are a lot of issues. Somebody said Tinubu would be afraid. Let Obi join PDP and NNPP and put everything together, he cannot defeat Tinubu.
