Lawmaker Urges for President's Concerns As Rivers State Governor Under FireA storm is gathering in Rivers State as House of Representatives member Honorable Solomon Bob has urged President Bola Tinubu to act decisively against Governor Siminalayi Fubara. Bob alleged that Governor Fubara has no respect for President Tinubu and has consistently flouted the law, including the December settlement brokered by the President. He noted that the governor had benefited more from the settlement than anyone else, but has since reneged on his promises. Bob further accused Fubara of running a government without a budget, spending state funds recklessly, and unlawfully withholding money from local governments.

The lawmaker pleaded with the President to take action against Governor Fubara’s “gross lawlessness and constitutional abuse” and urged the House of Assembly to remain unhindered in its constitutional duty to take appropriate action against the governor. Bob warned that if the President fails to act, it would be perceived as endorsing Fubara’s extraordinary acts of lawlessness.
