Laolu: I think Governor Bello has just really messed himself up by turning this thing into a big deal

He asked Governor Bello to assume accountability by willingly turning himself in to the EFCC and answering their questions. In the past, Akande mentioned others who voluntarily collaborated with the EFCC without waiting for an official invitation, such as former Governor Fayose. He also mentioned the trials that the EFCC had held for over 20 governors.

In conclusion, the former VP aide expressed his belief that Governor Bello has exacerbated his situation by escalating the issue and urged him to take immediate steps to rectify the situation.

 

 

He made these remarks in an interview with Channels Television.

According to Akande, “There is still time to redeem himself by surrendering himself to the EFCC and answering their question.

We have had people like Fayose; in the case of Fayose, he went there and didn’t wait for them to invite him. There have been over 20 governors that have been tried by the EFCC.
