Kano:Aminu Babba, I’m the One That Went to Court to Challenge the Law; I’m the Sarkin Dawaki of Kano

The contentious law that has rocked the Kano Emirate to its core has been contested by Aminu Babba Danagundi, the Sarkin Dawaki Babba of that territory. Aminu Babba stated that he was not aware that the judge who delivered the judgement was on vacation. However, he stated that the governor cannot dethrone Ado Bayero as Emir of Kano.

According to him, “It is very unfortunate that this has happened. I’m the one that went to court to challenge that law; I’m the Sarkin Dawaki Babba of Kano. I’m a member of the Emirate Council in Kano. I’m a kingmaker with the Kano Emirate, and I am also a member of the Kano Emirs.
