Jimoh Ibrahim: "What Akpabio said to me after I told him I want to resign from the Senate"Ondo South senator Jimoh Ibrahim has gone clean about his previous resignation from the Senate, claiming he informed Senate President Godswill Akpabio of his choice. In an interview with Arise TV, Senator Ibrahim was cited as claiming that Akpabio had arranged for them to get together that evening to discuss the matter. He later claimed that the Senate President told him that he was unfit to handle the matter and that they ought to wait for party leader Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is probably in attendance, to meet. In his statement, he revealed that he had previously called the Senate President to inform him of his intention to resign from his position. He exclaimed, “Ah!” Tonight is the night we must see. So I approached him and said, “Hey, what’s up?” I also mentioned that I wanted to quit the Senate.

“No, I’m not up to the task,” he said. We should hold off till the party boss is available. The next step was to wait. However, I considered it from the perspective that the people who elected me care about this.
