A businessman from Anambra named Ukachukwu had his properties demolished without a court order, despite the fact that there were two active, legal court judgments from different courts that forbade such behavior.

Chief Iwuanyanwu, speaking on behalf of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, expressed deep concern over the demolition, highlighting Ukachukwu’s significant contributions to the development of Abuja. He emphasized the importance of recognizing and protecting the investments made by individuals like Ukachukwu, stressing that such actions undermine the unity and prosperity of Nigeria.

The Minister, in response to the accusations, claimed that the land allocated to Ukachukwu lacked the approval of any minister, attributing the rampant land-grabbing in Abuja to compromised officials within the land department of the ministry.

However, Chief Iwuanyanwu called for restraint from the Igbo Community Assembly Abuja, urging them to cancel any planned demonstrations and suspend further actions until the matter is resolved. He emphasized the potential for violence, loss of life, and property damage if protests were to proceed without careful consideration.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Igbo Community Assembly Abuja, Hon. Ositadinma Nwoye, reiterated the community’s readiness to present all necessary documents to support their case. Despite presenting all required paperwork, the FCT Minister refused to acknowledge their claims, prompting the community to seek guidance from Chief Iwuanyanwu and suspend their protest plans, DAILY POST reports.
