Israeli Military Encounter Losses In Minefield and Bulldozer Attack By Hamas and Islamic Jihad

The armed wings of Islamic Jihad and Hamas claimed to have attacked Israeli soldiers and tanks in the Gaza Strip on Friday, in a coordinated operation that resulted in multiple injuries. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

A group of Israeli soldiers performing a raid in the region were targeted by the militants of Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, which released a statement claiming that their fighters had detonated a minefield in Khuza’a, east of Khan Younis.

The statement claimed, according to Al Jazeera, that several Israeli soldiers were killed and injured as a result of the explosion.

The Qassam Brigades also said that they attacked an Israeli bulldozer that was trying to clear the minefield with an anti-tank missile, damaging the vehicle and forcing it to retreat.

Meanwhile, the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, said that they carried out a joint operation with the Qassam Brigades in the Ma’an area in Khan Younis, where they fired several rockets and anti-tank missiles at three Israeli Merkava tanks. The statement said that the attack caused direct hits and inflicted losses on the Israeli side.

The Israeli military has not confirmed or denied the claims of the Palestinian factions, but said that it was aware of the reports and was looking into them.

The attack comes amid heightened tensions between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The two sides have exchanged sporadic fire in recent weeks, with Israel launching airstrikes and artillery shelling in response to rocket fire from Gaza. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
