Al Jazeera reports that the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, have taken credit for two strikes on Israeli forces that occurred on Friday in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
Palestinian rebels fired a rocket at a group of troops who were sheltering inside a building after using a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) to strike an Israeli military vehicle, according to a statement issued by the group.
The statement also said that the fighters fired a Yasin-105 shell, a locally made projectile, at an Israeli tank that came to the scene to back up the soldiers.
The Qassam Brigades said the attacks were part of the ongoing resistance against the Israeli occupation and aggression in Gaza.
There was no immediate confirmation or comment from the Israeli military on the alleged attacks.
The Zeitoun neighbourhood is located in the eastern part of Gaza City, near the border with Israel. It has been the site of several clashes and airstrikes in the past. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
