Renowned Ijaw elder Edwin Clark has stated that he believes it is untrue that former President Muhammadu Buhari drove Boko Haram out of 14 northern local governments. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

During an interview with Channels TV, Clark said Buhari’s predecessor, former President Goodluck Jonathan mentioned in his book that his administration made use of mercenaries to help drive Boko Haram out of Borno State, during the time when the 2015 presidential election was postponed by 6 weeks. He asserted that it was not Buhari who accomplished this feat and Buhari’s tenure saw an increase in the Boko Haram threat rather than a successful eradication.

In Clark’s words: “In Jonathan’s book he said they used mercenaries to drive Boko Haram out of Borno State during the postponement of the [2015] election for 5 or 6 weeks. It is not Buhari who did it, rather the whole thing increased during Buhari’s time”. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
