Ikpeazu’s assistant claims Otti maligned Ikpeazu in the USA over a “unseen” forensic audit. Odinkalu responds.

Prof. Chidi Anselm Odinkalu, a human rights activist and lawyer, responded to John Okiyi Kalu’s claim that Alex Otti, the governor of Abia state, came to Washington, DC, USA, to disparage his predecessor, Okezie Ikpeazu, who was unable to attend the forum to defend his forensic audit. He was quoted as saying;

“Governor Alex Otti who supposedly worked at management level in a bank claimed that he hired an unnamed forensic auditor that made the false findings he had to take all the way to United States of America to make public. Unfortunately, he forgot a key element of auditing which is the response of the auditee. To date, neither former Governor Ikpeazu nor anyone in his team has seen the report and he was never allowed to review it or state his own side. Yet, a supposedly responsible man chose to malign him in USA on the basis of same flawed, and possibly non-existent report”.

However, Odinkalu has now reacted to the statement that was made by Okiyi Kalu. In a post that he made on his page, he said Kalu doesn’t understand that the auditee in the report is Abia state and not Okezie Ikpeazu.

He wrote on his page;

“I can’t believe that John Okiyi Kalu put his name to this piece of silliness. He says an auditee is entitled to respond to an audit. The auditee here is Abia state and not Okezie Ikpeazu. It’s telling that he doesn’t understand that”. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
