Former governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s commissioner Obioha Charles Ogbonnaya has revealed why he insisted that Ikpeazu’s successor come from Abia North and about an argument he had with Ikpeazu that upset him. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

In a recent report shared by The Sun, Ogbonnaya said there was an agreement that power should rotate among different regions of Abia State and every local government agreed to move the governorship to Abia South, which is how Ikpeazu became governor. He said they also agreed that after Ikpeazu’s term, the next governor should come from Abia North.

Ogbonnaya said when it was time for the governorship to return to Abia North, some leaders from the Ngwa region, including Ikpeazu and his allies refused to honor the agreement. He said he found this very upsetting and opposed it. He said Ikpeazu called him and questioned if there was anyone in Abia North capable of being governor and this made him angry
