He pointed out that the Obidient movement is diverse, with members from various political parties such as the APC and PDP. According to Azomchine Ikenna, the movement’s allegiance is to Obi’s vision and leadership, and Abure’s attempts to involve himself are misguided and unwelcome.

According to him, “With all due respect to Mr. Abure, Abure does not really have control over the Obidient movement. I mean, obedient movement; we have obedients in APC; we have obedients in PDP; we have Obidients everywhere. In fact, we are only loyal to Peter Obi that we see that he’s the future of motives and the thinking of the obedients. We don’t take instructions from anybody; in fact, Abure is making a big mistake by daring to get into the Obidient; we don’t have any business with Abure.
