Speaking from a deeply personal perspective, Ihunwo revealed his shared community and local government ties with Amaewhule, emphasising his weariness with their conduct.

In an interview on Arise TV’s News Day programme, Ihunwo highlighted Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s prerogative to visit any location within the state, including the Assembly quarters, amid allegations that the governor’s actions have provoked the ongoing dispute.

Ihunwo lamented the lack of clarity regarding the specific offence attributed to the governor, adding to the confusion surrounding the situation.

Ihunwo emphasised that the current state of affairs in Rivers State has reached an intolerable level, indicating a pressing need for resolution and stability.

He said, “The governor is the chief security officer of this state and has the power to visit anywhere he wants to visit.

“And let me tell Nigerians, Martin Amaewhule and I are from the same community and the same local government; we’re sick and tired of these people.

“These are the people who want to loot our state. Now, what is the offence of the governor of Rivers State? Up until now, nobody has told us. So I think we are no longer happy with the thread of things in our state.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
