Recall that after Ihedioha served as governor for seven months, the highest court removed him from office and proclaimed APC candidate Hope Uzodinma the legitimate victor of the 2019 gubernatorial election.

In a video recently shared on YouTube by Arise TV, Ihedioha said most Nigerians he knows were shocked at the judgment of the court because he clearly won the election by a substantial margin of victory according to the record of INEC. He said the electoral body even had his name as the winner of the election up till November 11, 2023 when the next gubernatorial election took place.

Ihedioha said despite the setback he still believes in the Nigerian system and he also attributed his acceptance of the judgment to his belief in God.
