The Delta State Police Command Spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe, has cautioned Nigerians against taking revenge for offenses committed against them. She said that if someone slaps you and you decide to retaliate by slapping back, and the person falls and dies, the case will be considered unintentional murder or manslaughter rather than self-defense. Speaking further, he noted that it depends on the result of the autopsy to ascertain the real cause of the person’s death. Edafe went on and noted that he is certain that the individual will be behind bars for a reasonable time, thereby urging Nigerians to be careful of the slogan “no free for anybody.”

DSP Bright Edafe made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle on Sunday. He noted that they are saying this because they love Nigerians.
