Fagbemi also separated Kanu’s case from Omoyele Sowore’s during the second day of the Ministerial Sectoral Updates, which was a celebration of President Bola Tinubu’s first year in office.

While not addressing the recent release of Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Igboho by the Federal Government, Fagbemi asserted that Kanu’s detention is in accordance with the rule of law.

When questioned about the release of figures like Sowore and Igboho while Kanu remains in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Minister explained, “Nnamdi Kanu and Sowore’s case are not the same. If I see Sowore, I don’t know him, if I see Nnamdi Kanu, I don’t know him.”

He further emphasized, “Nnamdi Kanu is being detained under the rule of law and by court orders. We must await the court’s decision. No individual is detained outside the legal framework of the country.”.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
